I've been wanting to go berry picking at a pick-your-own farm for years and have never got around to it. Today, while the boys were in school, Grant and I drove an hour away to Kenyon Hall Farm in Warrington to pick some strawberries and raspberries.
I kept getting attacked by these swarming little black bugs - Grant didn't, only me! He was teasing me about not reading the "don't wear a green top" memo. The lady at checkout said it was because the corn was cracking (whatever that is).

This is how much we bought and it came to £20 - the punnets are pretty deep.
We sat and ate sandwiches and crisps afterward:
