Making jewellery

What fun to turn some beads I got off Freecycle and some jump rings and eye pins ...

... into a necklace that I love. My first attempt at making this kind of jewellery and I'm pretty pleased with it!

I also made a first attempt at stamped jewellery - this is for a friend who has two daughters and a son. I can see my errors (I really need a bench block but don't want to spend the money) but I hope she likes it anyway. I also like that it kinda hints at dog-tag since her husband is in the military.

  1. Very pretty! I love it when you find great stuff on freecycle! :)

Great job with your stamping! I have been reading a lot about stamping and thinking I might need to go get me some supplies. I think it's a very feminine (and therefor nicer!) "dogtag" so I hope your friend likes it. If you don't have a benchblock, where did you stamp it? I am with you on not wanting to get one. Most of the blogs I read said they used their garage floor/driveway. I think it's winter and I still have snow and no garage!
