Normally I watch eagerly for the first spring bulbs to poke up through the cold soil. But this year, because they are my very own bulbs that I remembered to plant in autumn, I am worried that they are up so early! Won't they freeze and die through February? One mild week does not spring make.
Anyway, nothing I can do to stop them, so here are some pictures of my hyacinths, crocuses and snowdrops (I think my tulips were smart enough to wait a while!)
How nice to see - in your garden! Mine is currently under 25cm of snow which will remain until at least April. I'll have to live vicariously through you :) Enjoy.
I have to say, your little bits of spring made me smile. In Rochester we just got another 12+ inches of snow. Agh! I hope they hang in there and do ok!
don't get me excited! we just got about 8 inches of snow where i am in the states. we are all so incredibly desperate for warmer weather and color in our gardens!
